Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KIOCH) successfully conducted Basic Life Support (BLS) training sessions for its healthcare providers at KIOCH Kathmandu Children’s Hospital and KIOCH Damak Children’s Hospital.
The sessions were conducted by Mrs. Prati B. Dangol, M.Sc.N, Nursing Director, KIOCH, AHA Regional Faculty – BLS & ACLS, and AHA Certified Instructor – PALS & ASLS. The training focused on essential life-saving techniques, with strong emphasis on hands-on CPR practice using adult, child, and infant mannequins, enhancing emergency response skills and real-life preparedness.
KIOCH Kathmandu Children’s Hospital – December 15, 2025 (29th Mangsir, 2082)
The Kathmandu session included CPR practice on adult and child mannequins. Certificates were formally distributed by Mr. Bhagwan Koirala, Chairman of KIOCH, recognizing the successful completion of the training.
KIOCH Damak Children’s Hospital – December 17, 2025 (2nd Poush, 2082)
At the Damak session, healthcare providers actively participated in CPR practice sessions followed by certificate distribution upon completion of the training.
These BLS training programs reflect KIOCH’s ongoing commitment to strengthening emergency care capacity and ensuring a high standard of preparedness across all its children’s hospitals.
Aiming to train all the KIOCH Staffs including Security Guards, Housekeeping Staffs, Drivers, Admin Staffs, Allied Healthcare Professionals, Nursing Staffs, and Doctors.
